MY26 Renault Arkana gains mild-hybrid tech, smoother operating transmission

Renault Australia has announced recommended retail pricing and specifications for the MY26 Renault Arkana range – now with mild-hybrid power, a smoother operating dual-clutch transmission, and the option of a matte paint colour.

There are two model grade variants in the revamped line-up: Techno and Esprit Alpine, both of which are powered by the same turbocharged 1.3-litre 12V mild-hybrid powertrain paired to a recalibrated dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Recommended retail pricing for the MY26 Renault Arkana mild-hybrid range is as follows:

•    MY26 Renault Arkana Techno: $41,990 plus on-road costs
•    MY26 Renault Arkana Esprit Alpine: $45,990 plus on-road costs

Metallic paint adds $900 (recommended retail price) across both model grades.

Matte grey paintwork – called ‘Satin Grey’ – costs $1150 (recommended retail price) and is available on the flagship Renault Arkana Esprit Alpine only.

A sunroof is standard on the Esprit Alpine and a $1500 option (recommended retail price) on the Techno.

A black painted roof is a $600 option (recommended retail price) on both models.

All variants of the MY26 Renault Arkana are powered by a turbocharged 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (116kW/270Nm), supported by a 12V mild-hybrid system and a 3.6kW electric motor.

The system delivers a combined fuel consumption rating of 5.9L/100km (according to ADR81/02) and is calibrated to meet Euro 6 emissions standards.

The Renault Arkana’s distinctive coupe-like silhouette combines a sleek exterior with a practical interior, offering an impressive boot volume of 485 litres with the rear seats in position, expanding to 1268 litres of space with the rear seats stowed.

Warranty coverage on the MY26 Renault Arkana is five years (unlimited kilometres) and service intervals are 12 months/30,000km (whichever occurs first).
